nevertoooldtolovemuppets:

This video never ceases to amaze me. I’m not even watching it right now, but as I write this I’m teary just thinking about it. Just watching the Muppets come to term with the loss of their creator is sob-worthy, but watching them stay strong and stay together? That’s beautiful. I can’t imagine how hard this was for the cast and crew, everyone who knew and loved Jim, to film.

Fair warning: watch this with a box of tissues.

The death of Jim Henson is one of my earliest memories of collective sadness, which I think speaks to the magnitude of the loss we all experienced when he left us. I honestly think his work has brought me more joy than any one artist, because that’s what he truly was.

Let’s just ask ourselves, would our best friends barge into our bath time and do a musical number?
If the answer is no, you need better friends. Or locks on your doors.

This photoset is terrific.
